Bookcase workshop June 10 & 11th

Fine example of Creole style bookcase
This two day workshop on June 10 & 11th will be building an Acadian style bookcase.  It will be made in cypress.  The dimensions are 72"h x 28"w x 15"d.  The workshops start at 9am on Saturdays and 10am on Sundays.  Each participant will build their own bookcase and leave with a completed project.  You will receive a shop drawing, a cut list and a process sheet.  After discussions, all will enter the production area and with Greg's help will select their rough lumber.  He will help with each envision the choices for the composition of the piece.
After that Greg will demonstrate each step of the technical process and students will repeat.  On Saturdays Greg will end the day at a natural stopping point to ensure completion by the end of Sunday.

The workshops are fun, informative, collaborative and confidence building.  Students range from inexperienced novices to woodworking hobbyist,  No experience necessary and they are geared to give a deeper appreciation to the art of furniture making.
